^Lot 689 Colt Detective Special .38 Spl #P47578

American made snub nosed double action revolver chambered in .38 Special, manufactured circa 1982 in Hartford, CT. This is Colt's third series of the 'Detective Special' (1973-86). Revolver features a gloss blued finish, 2" barrel, smooth ramped front sight, notched top-strap rear sight, shrouded ejector rod, full underlug, long-fluted six-round cylinder, smooth curved trigger, two-tone hammer with polished sides, serrated hammer spur, firing pin on hammer nose, and two piece checkered walnut grips. The original blued finish retained is approximately 99% with little remarkable to speak of. Metal displays no rust or deformation. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also excellent. The action is really tight with a solid lock-up (needs a break-in). This revolver is in like new condition. Includes original cardboard box with paperwork.
